My husband and I have been members of this church for over five years now, it's the best thing we've ever done. We are thrilled to have a Bible preaching pastor, Bible studies are amazing and everyone is friendly. You definitely feel the love of Jesus the moment you walk though the door.
Became a family when I needed a family the most. I'd searched for years for a church to actually TEACH the Bible and explain it so we can all understand and grow. All the other places I attended I felt awkward and out of place since I didn't know much. But my knowledge, faith, and love has grown immensely since attending Severns. Usually a "big church" would turn me away, but this one just drew me in! So blessed to be raising my family in this God Centered place!
Attended for over a year and ultimately am left disappointed. I am put off by the fact there are no crosses in the church. There is very little to set apart this building and a secular community center. I did enjoy the presentation at Easter. I have heard scripture quoted from the wrong address on stage. Disappointed how church was practically cancelled the entire month of December last year. Overall not awful but there is a lot of room room improvement.
We rated 5 stars because 10 stars was not a choice. This is a welcoming community of practicing believers. Dr. Bill Langley's sermons educate, inspire, soothe, and prepare me for each week ahead.
I have been apart of Severns Valley for almost 16 years now. This is where I heard the good news of Jesus Christ and have been shown God's grace! I have great community through Severns that I can do life with and grow in my faith so I can share the good news with others! The Church- the body of Christ- is a gathering of sinners whom need a Savior! The Truth of Jesus is shared here and there are many great ministries for all ages.
