My mother struggled raising two boys on her own and brought us here and involved us in the youth group. I led youth devotionals, prayer, song leading, horizons, Bible bowl, vacation Bible School, lock in, etc.

This was the single most tramatic experience of my adolescence. I instantly lost everything and everyone I was close to. I became suicidal, believed I was worthless, and felt abandoned...from a church.
This is a place of hate, fear, racism, and judgement.

Mike Green was the "preacher" at the time and disfellowshipped me at the age of 17 because I was gay. He took my mother out to lunch one day to discuss my "ordeal". Mike Green assured my mother none of my perversions were her fault and her best course of action would be to disassociate from her 17 year old son.
