The place is falling apart. They still have original rickety seats in the front section of all the theaters. Ceiling tiles are just nasty and needing to be replaced. The front lobby restroom is horrendous. The urinals in the men’s room do not have partitions, so beware of perverts. Sound in certain theaters is shoddy. Screens in almost every theater have cracks, lines, and scratches- easily visible throughout screenings. Regardless of a small bathroom remodel and new seats in the larger theaters, this place is still sliding downhill. Far too long has it been the theater of choice just because it has been the ONLY choice. Once the competition opens their doors, this place will cease to exist.
What a really upsetting night at the Movie Palace. Told my family that we would go see Thor tonight as it is listed on their web site, Facebook page and on their outside posters with the times listed. My kids were so excited and counted down the hours and talking about getting popcorn and candy. We show up about 30 minutes because we know from past experiences that we will likely have to buy our tickets and refreshments at the same time at the concession stand. And with all the movies playing, it is always so chaotic. When we go to buy the tickets we are informed that they are not showing Thor due them having to get ready for an early showing of Pitch Perfect. Nowhere in this poorly run theatre is there any notices. My kids were devastated to say the least. Unfortunately we were not the only family to leave upset. Needless to say, I can not wait for the new theatre to get completed!!
Fortunately it won’t be too much longer that we are forced to go to such and outdated and poorly run theatre. We can’t wait for the new theatre to open.
Great movie theatre. Had a good time with my friend Edna for an afternoon movie. Comfortable seats with lots of leg room.
First visit. Very nice. Would have liked speakers further away. Seats were comfortable and the view was good. Facility clean.
Went to see Thor which according to their website should be playing tonight at 7pm. It’s also on their Facebook page and right outside their theatre it says Thor 7pm.. HOWEVER when you go to buy tickets they inform you that they decided to take it down and play a sneak preview of Pitch Perfect. When we told them it’s all over their pages and websites etc. the reply was just “ well we decided to take it down to play Pitch Perfect” this was the last night to see Thor. It was going off tomorrow when newer movies arrived. You wanna make changes fine, but why does everything including the theatre itself say it’s playing?
